Mars Photo Exhibit Opens in Zakopane

Mars: Mission Possible, a photo exhibit organized by the United States Consulate General in Krakow was opened by Consul General Kenneth Fairfax in the Polish winter resort town of Zakopane on February 11, 2005.

The exhibit features some 24 enlarged photos sent to Earth by Mars rovers Pathfinder, Spirit and Opportunity in 2004 as well as other images of the Red Planet. The Consul General gave several on the spot interviews to media and press about the U.S. space program.

The exhibit will run until March 16 at Galeria Politechniki Krakowskiej Stara Polana, ul. Nowotarska 59 in Zakopane.
