Tourist Visas

Persons traveling to the United States for tourism (such as visiting relatives, sightseeing, etc.) must make an appointment for an interview. Appointments for tourist applicants are scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 11:30am, except Polish and American holidays and the last Friday of the month.

Tourist applicants must submit the electronic application form DS-156 with a bar-code for every interview day except Wednesdays. Visas for tourists are returned by DHL courier service.

Please come to your scheduled appointment with the documents described in Basic documents and photos. In most cases, the consular officer will make a decision on your eligibility for a nonimmigrant visa at the time of the interview. In a few cases, you may be requested to return with additional documents before a decision can be made. In these rare cases, no appointment will be necessary for you to return to the consular section and present the additional documents.

Additional documents are not required, but may be helpful if they can further establish the situation of the applicant in Poland and their reasons for traveling to the U.S.
