Children need appointments just like everyone else and should follow the procedures in "How to Apply". Children under the age of 14 do not have to appear in person for a visa interview. Parents need to apply on behalf of their children. Please note that at least one of the parents must be present for the interview with the consul and prepare the documents presented in "Required documents". Parents must sign their child's visa application. Children over 14 have to appear in person for a visa interview. One parent needs to accompany a child up to the age of 16.
