On September 22-24 an international conference entitled tolerancja.pl brought together in Krakow representatives of the Polish and American governments, non-governmental organizations and academia. Eminent guests included the U.S. Ambassador to Poland Christopher R. Hill, Malopolska provincial governor, Jerzy Adamik, prof. Leon Kieres president of the National Rememberance Institute, representatives of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles and the Southern Poverty Law Center among others. The U.S Embassy-sponsored conference assembled participants also from Great Britain, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. |
