Pulitzer Prize winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa and his Polish counterpart Janusz Szuber read before an overflow standing-room audience of over 100 on September 15, 2005, at the Rzeszów Main Museum.

The evening of poetry and blues music was moderated by local poet Krystyna Lenkowska. Mr. Komunyakaa's travel was funded under the Department of State U.S. Speakers Program and his appearance in Rzeszów was organized by: U.S. Consulate General in Krakow, Preteksty literackie and the Rzeszów City Hall.
