Prof. Steven Pinker signs his new book

Professor Steven Pinker, the Johnstone Family Professor in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University discussed and promoted the Polish translation of his latest book The Blank State: The Modern Denial of Human Nature at the Jewish Cultural Center in Krakow on October 11, 2005.

In his presentation, to an intensely enthusiastic standing-room only audience of some 100 students, faculty and intellectuals, he considered three modern "myths" about human nature. These "myths" are variously labeled as the blank slate, the noble savage, and the ghost in the machine.

Prof. Pinker’s appearance was in cooperation with the Gdansk Psychology Publishing House.
