American culture and its links with Poland and Rzeszow was the theme of an American Evening organized by Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow and the English Language School "Yes" on February 16, 2005. The evening started with short pantomime and poems presented by students that was then followed by vice-consul Denny Merideth's lecture on American traditions and common values that are shared by both nations. The evening included a concert of popular songs from American musicals, photo and poster exhibits as well as a concert by a Polish blues group. Around 100 participants eagerly joined in the festive mood and informal discussions about connections between both cultures.
