From July 3-9, 2005, the 15th Annual International Association of Schools of Jazz Meeting took place in Krakow. The global event takes place in a different location every year. The meeting was hosted by the Krakow School of Jazz and Contemporary Music.

During the week there were combos, master classes, lectures, discussions, as well as jam sessions at jazz clubs in the center of Kraków. The final concert was broadcast on Radio Kraków. The U.S. Consulate General in Krakow co-sponsored the participation in the Meeting of David Liebman, one of the leading American jazz saxophonists and composers of his generation, a renowned educator and author of numerous books, articles and papers on jazz and education.
