Fostering International Communication Through the Global Use of English

On September 26, 2005, the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow participated in a panel on the global use of English organized by the Jagiellonian University and Gama Bell Foreign Languages College. The panel was part of one day conference to mark the European Day of Languages and brought over 70 participants from not only English speaking countries.

Owing to the U.S. presence the audience and the media received a practical insight into new opportunities offered by modern technology and reflected on their impact on the language learning process and international communication.
