Information Session on "Work and Travel" Program

As part of a publicity campaign, Consular Officer from the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow, Denny Merideth took part in the information session on Work and Travel and Cultural Care Au-Pair programs organized by the Career Center of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow on May 10, 2005.

He explained the student visa procedures to an audience of Krakow students interested in the possibilities of legal work and studies in the U.S. During the interview for the local TV station and a local newspaper he discussed basic rules of the programs and explained that 95% of all Polish applicants for this program are issued visas.

The meeting also gave an opportunity for the Consulate Educational Adviser to brief students on the U.S. educational system, the application procedures and possibilities of financial aid.
