Working with the Sundance Theater Workshop, and the Stary Theater, one Poland’s oldest and most prestigous, the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow helped sponsor the production of "I Am My Own Wife," a Pulitzer Prize and Tony award winning play in Krakow April 14-16, 2005.
The play tells of the author's fascination with the life of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, a German caught up in the great European dramas of the 20th century. The production featured the original Broadway cast - award winning best actor Jefferson Mays; director Moises Kaufman; and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Doug Wright.
In addition the Sundance Theater Lab organized a series of public workshops for theater students and dramatists featuring the actor, director and playwright.
