State Alumni offers an exciting opportunity to continue your exchange program after you have returned home! The State Alumni website is dedicated to alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange and training programs, and to the people who hosted them in the U.S.

State Alumni currently is open to:

  • Alumni worldwide;
  • Americans who participated in U.S.-funded exchange programs;
  • Americans who hosted U.S.-funded exchange participants.

    State Alumni asks that you register in order to log onto the Website so we can keep you and your fellow alumni in better contact. There are now over 14,700 registered users. State Alumni operates over a secure connection, to prevent the theft of personal information.

    The Website has three principal goals:

    1. Help alumni stay in touch with each other and create new contacts;
    2. Incorporate alumni of specific programs into the wider community of all alumni;
    3. Provide information and interactive features:

  • Calendar of upcoming alumni events
  • Job listings and career development information
  • Searchable database of alumni and U.S. host families who have registered at the site
  • Grant opportunity listings
  • Live online discussions
  • Discussion forum
  • Alumni news
  • Feedback form/online survey
  • Photo gallery
  • Optional Alumni ListServ
  • Research Database of Academic Journals

    At State Alumni the emphasis is on the users creating the content, so we encourage you to provide calendar listings, job announcements, grant opportunities, news and photos to the webmaster for posting. The State Alumni staff also always welcomes feedback from users in order to improve the site.
