Former First Lady Jolanta Kwaśniewska and Consul for Political and Economic Affairs Duncan Walker participated in a ceremony at the Naklo School in Upper Silesia to honor a Polish-American, Kaya Mirecka-Ploss, in a ceremony renaming the school the Kaya Mirecka-Ploss School on September 13. She has been cooperating with the former first lady Jolanta Kwaśniewska in carrying out this project, and approximately 180 children have benefited from this program. The day before the ceremony, Ms. Mirecka-Ploss established a foundation which will support the activities of the school of which she is now patron.
