The 11th Krakow Summer Jazz Festival (July 9 - August 6) kicked-off on July 9 with Public Affairs Section sponsored “New Orleans Jazz Sunday”. Festivities included outdoor concerts on the crowd-packed main Market Square, and a New Orleans style parade along one of the town’s main streets. The main venue for the month long festival will be the Piwnica Pod Branami cellar club at 27 Rynek Glowny (Main Sq.) where jazz concerts are scheduled every night. Some additional events will be held at the Krakow Philharmonic Hall, Radio Krakow auditorium, theaters, art galleries. There are also open air concerts on the Main Market Square and the Archeological Museum gardens.
