In conjunction with the Krakow based Institute of Strategic Studies, the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow organized a seminar on transatlantic relations on June 17, 2005.

The discussion featured the participation of Ronald Steel, Professor of International Relations at the University of Southern California, currently a Fellow at the American Academy in Berlin, and Bogdan Klich, Polish member of the European Parliament, as well as Polish academics and media commentators. The program concluded with a videoconference with Minister Counselor for Political Affairs at the U.S. Mission to the European Union Kyle Scott.

The conference focused on the present and future state of U.S.-EU relations, particularly in light of the recent rejections by France and the Netherlands of the proposed European Union Constitution.
