Ambassador Lee Feinstein and Lieutenant General Mark Hertling lay a wreath at the Terror Victims Memorial (Homo Homini) in Kielce, August 31

U.S. Ambassador to Poland Lee A. Feinstein visited the Kielce region on Wednesday, August 31.  While in Kielce, the Ambassador and Lieutenant General Mark Hertling, Commander of U.S. Army Europe, visited Bagram X, a U.S.-Polish exercise at the Kielce Peace Operations Training Area, where American and Polish soldiers are training before deploying to Afghanistan. 

Ambassador Feinstein and LTG Hertling also participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Homo Homini Monument to Commemorate Victims of Terrorist Attacks, where the Ambassador met with local government and cultural leaders in Kielce. 

During his visit, Ambassador Feinstein also toured the site of the new Kielce Philharmonic Hall and met with Marszalek Adam Jarubas and Kielce Mayor Wojciech Lubawski.
