The Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow, William Bellis, gave the opening speech on May 11 on the scope and complexity of the U.S.-EU economic relations at a conference organized by the European Center of Integration and Development and the Robert Schuman Foundation at the Silesian Academy of Economics in Katowice.

Other conference speakers included the Marshall of Province, diplomats from other Embassies and Polish parliamentarians. Around 80 students from all Upper Silesian higher education schools and the Academy of Economics in Krakow attended the speech.
