Public Affairs Officer at the American Day in Dobczyce

On March 2, William Bellis, Public Affair Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow traveled to Dobczyce to take part in “From sea to sea…” an American Day celebration at the Dobczyce Middle School. The school specializes in English language instruction for its students. In addition to presenting some book awards, the Consul also viewed performances of a marching majorette and baton twirling troupe as well as visiting thematic rooms of costumed students individually dedicated to such things as famous Polish-Americans, examples of popular American culture such as Hollywood and Madonna, the Wild West, and the glories of American fast food. Prior to his arrival at the school William Bellis also met with the Mayor who showed him the town’s newly developed industrial park.
