On Dec. 14, 2005, the U.S. Consul General in Krakow Kenneth Fairfax participated alongside with French Consul General and Russian Federation Consul General in a panel discussion on the challenges facing multicultural societies in the aftermath of September 11.
CG Fairfax's speech emphasized the America's heritage as an inherently multicultural society and the pivotal role that protection of minority rights have played American constitutional law since the time of the framing of the Constitution.
The panel was a part of conference organized within the "Ambassador" Program by the Jagiellonian University Institute of Public Affairs as well as by the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations. The conference took place in the historical Jagiellonian University Aula filled with students from various faculties.
