U.S. Volunteers Contribute to the Building of New Homes in Gliwice

July 7, 2008

Political/Economic Officer Michelle Riebeling participates in the dedication ceremony of a new building constructed by Habitat for Humanity in Gliwice.
On July 7, the non-profit organization Habitat for Humanity inaugurated the eighth building that the organization has built for families in need in the Gliwice area.   The building will provide twelve families with new homes.  Seventy-five percent of the labor to complete the building came from volunteers, with the majority of those volunteers coming from the United States.   In addition to those that came directly from the U.S. to work on the project, the U.S. volunteers also included a group form the U.S. Navy Hospital in Naples, Italy as well as Americans living in Poland.  Political/Economic Officer Michelle Riebeling participated in the July 7 dedication ceremony of the new homes.
