The American Choir Variations in Poland

The American choir Variations sang in several locations around Poland during their week-long tour. The group held concerts at Warsaw’s Wilanow Castle, Lublin’s Catholic University and in Krakow at St. Mary’s Church and the Young Musician’s Festival. The group also sang two tribute pieces at Auschwitz. The choir is made up of 36 students from Tennessee’s Pellissippi State Technical Community College. The group’s 18 men and 18 women performed a program that included a balanced mix of traditional choral music with American folk songs, African American spirituals, and lighter fare such as "Broadway" selections.
