Senior Defense Department Official Visits Poland


Mr. Michael Vickers, Assistant Secretary of Defense, Special Operations/Low-Intensity Conflict visited the Polish Special Operations  in Krakow and the 1st Special Forces Regiment in Lubliniec.  On his two day visit, Mr. Vickers was also interviewed by the Polish Defense magazine “Polska Zbrojna” and met with U.S. Ambassador Victor Ashe as well as with select Polish government officials.  Mr. Vickers’ visit comes only weeks after the historic signing of the Special Operations Memorandum of Understanding between Secretary Gates and  Polish Minister of Defense Bogdan Klich.
