Poland and the U.S. to Cooperate on Clean Coal Technology Research

Consul General Anne Hall and Michelle Riebeling visit Poland's Central Mining Institute
On June 23, the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory signed a memorandum of understanding with Poland’s Chief Mining Institute and the Coal Chemical Processing Institute to work together to advance clean coal technologies.   The cooperation will take place over the next five years through jointly funded research and development projects, information exchange, and through personnel exchanges.  Consul General Anne Hall visited the Chief Mining Institute on June 24 to congratulate the Institute’s personnel on the agreement and to learn more about clean coal technology research in Poland.
