On November 29, the Consulate hosted the sixth annual country-wide “J Managers” conference in Krakow.  Fifty representatives of Polish companies that organize exchange programs in the United States participated in the conference.  The conference focused on the popular “J Exchange Programs” which allow thousands of Polish students, scholars, and professionals to go to the United States each year to work, travel, study, and participate in training programs for limited periods of time.

Consul General Phillip Min from the Embassy in Warsaw and Krakow Consular Chief Stephen Barneby opened the conference and encouraged continued participation by Poles in the exchange programs.  The conference went on to cover topics ranging from application procedures to fraud and trainee issues, and also included two question and answer sessions in which Embassy and Consulate personnel responded to a range of questions from the conference participants.   The day-long conference ended with a reception at Consul General Anne Hall’s residence.
