Retired Police Captain Marian Majowicz and the International Policeman's Association of Podkarpackie celebrated its 15th anniversary on Friday, September 21 with an old fashioned kielbasa grill.  The event highlighted the Association's years of service to the Podkarpackie province and their successes in bringing police servicemen from neighboring countries together for exchanges, professional development and camaraderie.  A Gorale band helped mark the occasion, held at the Sportsman's Lodge north of Rzeszow at Bor.  More than seventy members of the Association from across the Podkarpackie region played host to their colleagues from Ukraine and Slovakia as well as Rzeszow city officials.  European Parliament Member Mieczysław Edmund Janowski was honored for his contributions to the Association and the larger Podkarpackie community.  Vice Consuls Linda Rosalik and John Surface represented the US Consulate in Krakow.
