Consul General Anne Hall Leaves Kraków on July 19

Anne Hall, who arrived in Kraków in August 2006 as Consul General, is ending her three-year assignment this week and leaving Poland on Sunday, July 19. "I want to congratulate Anne for the excellent work she has done in Kraków and the many successful programs she oversaw in the region," said U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe. "We will miss her great enthusiasm and commitment." Right before her departure this Sunday, Ms. Hall is planning to say good-bye to the city she has come to love by taking a horse-drawn carriage ride through the streets of Kraków from the Main Market Square to the Wawel Castle.
Prior to her arrival in Kraków, Anne Hall served in the State Department's Bureau of European Affairs from 2001-2005, where she participated in negotiations leading to a United Nations Settlement for Cyprus in 2004, as well as on Nordic and Baltic issues. She has also served in several senior staff positions, including a Special Assistant to Secretary of State Warren Christopher, Special Assistant to Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs State Maura Harty, and on the staff of Executive Secretary of the Department of State Marc Grossman. Ms. Hall was Chief of the Consular Section in Shanghai, China from 1997-2000 and Economic Officer in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and in Barranquilla, Colombia. She speaks Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese and Polish.
