Consul for Polticial and Economic Affairs Duncan Walker participated in a reception at the Galicja Museum in Kazimierz for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Wings of Memory Society on the evening of October 23.  The Galicja Museum’s permanent exhibit displays photographs of the physical remains of pre-war Jewish culture as they appear today.  The guests from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum enjoyed a tour of the Galicja Museum and a presentation of the exhibits followed by dinner and a music recital by Daniel Kempin, who sang songs by Mordechaj Gebirtig, often called the “Prophet of the Holocaust.”  The group toured Auschwitz the next day before departing for Berlin.
