| Basketball Players with their Coaches and Consulate Staff |

Several basketball players from the Polish Basketball Federation visited the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow on Monday, 18 June 2007 in preparation for a team trip to the United States to participate in the Summer Pro League in Los Angeles. This tournament is sponsored by Nike and is in preparation for the European Basketball Championship for 2007.
The players and coaches were greeted first thing in the morning, before the rest of the day's applicants, to ease the process of applying for visas as a group. A member of the consulate staff used to play for Skawa Wadowice in the late 1980’s and enjoyed sharing stories with the team members. The team was gracious enough to join the visa processing staff for a group photo.
The consulate is delighted to build on their ties with the local sports clubs and help open opportunities for local professionals on the international circuit. We wish them all possible success.
