Wieslaw Pikul, the photographer, is a Polish and American citizen. He was born in Zabno near Tarnow, but at the end of the seventies he emigrated to the U.S. where he spent most of his free time traveling and taking pictures of the natural beauty of the American West
Mr. Pikul's work captures the raw beauty of the American West and the rich color, texture and stark landscapes of that region. The exhibit will be on display until April 29.
The opening of the exhibit coincided with the meeting with the WSB-NLU students. Mr. Surface spoke about the American Foreign Service today, discussing the history of the Foreign Service, Cold War foreign policy and the structural changes of Transformational Diplomacy. Well over 100 students attended the talk in the modern speaking hall of the college. The question and answer session touched upon issues regarding American policy and the Missile Defense Program. Members of student groups extended the discussion afterwards and the vice-consul gave an interview with the school newspaper, Ampersand.
Over the years the WSB college has had extensive contact with the consulate, which sponsors several speaking events every year.
