Ambassador Victor Ashe Participated in the March of the Living

Ambassador Victor Ashe, his wife Joan and Krakow Pol-Econ Officer Kate McGeary participated in the March of the Living at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial on Holocaust Memorial Day, April 21.  Ahead of the March, Amb. Ashe met with Jewish-American high school students from across the United States.  He also talked with survivors of the holocaust.  The March of the Living is an international holocaust education program which was established in 1988.  Israeli Vice Prime Minister Silvan Shalom and former Canadian Minister of Justice Irwin Cotler were amongst the dignitaries present at this year's March.
