Ambassador Speaks at American Chamber of Commerce in Krakow

Ambassador Victor Ashe and Consul General Anne Hall met for dinner with the Governing Council of the American Chamber of Commerce in Krakow on Monday, September 17.  Ambassador Ashe spoke briefly about the upcoming parliamentary elections in Poland emphasizing the importance of civic participation in a healthy democracy, and noting how far Poland has come since the fall of communism 19 years ago.  Deputy Minister of Labor Kazimierz Kuberski also attended the dinner, after participating in an earlier event with the Amcham to discuss employment issues.  The dinner was hosted by the Metropolitan restaurant of Krakow.
