Ambassador Jacobs Visits Krakow

May 5, 2009

Assistant Secretary of Consular Affairs Ambassador Janice L. Jacobs paid an official visit to Krakow May 2-5.  During her stay in Krakow, Ambassador Jacobs lectured at Jagiellonian University's School of American Studies about academic exchanges between Poland and the United States, highlighting that in the past year the American Consulate in Krakow has issued 3,000 visas to Poles participating in such programs.  The evening of May 4, Consul General Anne Hall held a reception at her residence in honor of the Assistant Secretary's visit.  In attendance at the reception were local politicians, academics and friends of the Consulate.
