Ambassador Ashe Visits Southern Poland

Ambassador Victor Ashe visited Wroclaw, several cities in Silesia, and Krakow on September 16-18. In Wroclaw, the Ambassador visited several U.S. companies, including Google, 3M, Hewlett Packard, and UPS. Ambassador Ashe also took advantage of his time in Wroclaw to visit the newly inaugurated Ronald Reagan Roundabout and to meet with the Deputy Mayor of Wroclaw, Adam Grehl. He also toured the workshop of regional artist Czeslaw Roszkowski and attended Wroclaw’s annual Oktoberfest. Following his time in Wroclaw, the Ambassador continued on to Siemianowice Slaskie to meet with the city’s mayor Jacek Guzy. He then traveled to Wojkowice to meet with Mayor Andrzej Cembrzynski.
The Ambassador’s next stop was Katowice where he first toured the Silesian Museum. and then met with the Governor of Silesia, Zygmunt Lukaszczyk, and the Marshal of Silesia, Boguslaw Smigielski. Ambassador Ashe ended his day in Silesia with a visit to Sosnowiec where he met with Mayor Kazimierz Gorski.
On September 18, the Ambassador was in Krakow and met with Mayor Jacek Majchrowski. He also toured the Cistersian Monastery in Mogila.
