Ambassador Ashe, MP Krystyna Skowronska and PZL Mielec engineers
Ambassador Ashe Visits Podkarpackie and Malopolska

Ambassador Ashe visited the Polish Aviation Factory (Polskie Zakłady Lotnicze, PZL) in Mielec, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation's affiliate in Poland on Friday, July 24. During his visit he met with the plant's management and engineers, representatives of Sikorsky Aircraft as well as Krystyna Skowronska, a Member of Parliament representing the Mielec region. He toured the facility and observed a BLACK HAWK helicopter cabin being assembled. The plant is gearing up to begin producing S-70i BLACK HAWK helicopters in Mielec by the end of 2011, which will be sold on the global marketplace. On his way to Krakow the Ambassador visited Zalipie, a town famous for its decorated houses. In Krakow he participated in the opening of the second More than a Cookie shop with the owners American owners Paul and Cindy Marty and their family at ul. Slawkowska 18.
