Ceremony at the Tadeusz Kosciuszko monument

Ambassador Ashe Visits Malopolska

U.S. Ambassador Victor Ashe was in the Malopolska region on Friday April 17.  He visited the towns of Miechow and Kazimierza Wielka and met with the mayors there, and also visited the town of Proszowice.  In Proszowice Ambassador Ashe, Mayor Jan Makowski, local officials and school children joined in a short ceremony at the Tadeusz Kosciuszko monument.  Proszowice is close to the famed battle that General Kosciuszko fought in Raclawice in 1794.  Ambasador Ashe also visited the textile company Lynka sp. z o.o. and met with the President, John Lynch.
