Ambassador Ashe Pays Farewell to Southern Poland
September 8, 2009

During his final visit to Krakow Consular District, Ambassador Victor Ashe paid a farewell call to Wroclaw and Krakow. On September 7 he met mayor Dutkiewicz who bestowed on him an award for his contribution to the city's business development, especially in attracting US investment in Wroclaw.  Later that day in Krakow, the Ambassador was honored with a farewell event at the historical Tyniec Benedictine Monastery, organized by the Malopolska Association of Cities and Counties.  In the evening the Ambassador said farewell to representatives of American business community over dinner.  Ambassador Ashe stated his intent to visit Krakow, a city close to his heart, again this coming spring; this time as a tourist and private citizen.
