President Bush Conveys Condolences for Bus Tragedy

On July 27 condolences from President George W. Bush were delivered to President Lech Kaczynski and the people of Poland for the Polish pilgrims who died and were injured in the tragic bus accident in the French Alps.  Earlier Ambassador Victor Ashe also sent condolences and Chargé d'Affaires Kenneth Hillas signed the condolence book on behalf of the Embassy.


 The letter from President Bush:

 

July 27, 2007

Dear Mr. President,

On behalf of the American people, I express my heartfelt condolences to you and the people of Poland on the tragic July 22 bus accident near Grenoble, France. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims.

Your Excellency,

    On behalf of President Bush and the American people, I extend my deepest condolences to you and the people of Poland for the Polish pilgrims who died and were injured in yesterday’s tragic accident in the French Alps.

    Our prayers and sympathy go out to the families who lost loved ones and we wish those who were injured a speedy recovery.
